What if Women Designed the City? A Post-War Regenerative Reconstruction Summer Laboratory in Gaza
A six-week online Summer Laboratory exploring how regenerative design, systems thinking and women's lived experiences can inform the post-war reconstruction of Gaza. Designed for architecture and engineering students at the University of Palestine, the programme introduces practical and participatory approaches to rebuilding neighbourhoods that are resilient and life-affirming.
Through walking observations, spatial diaries, participatory mapping and collaborative design, participants will develop a proposal for the regeneration of a neighbourhood in Gaza, integrating ecological restoration, mobility, public space, safety and community wellbeing into a shared vision for reconstruction.
